Dwarsvlei Farm has converted the old horse stables into comfortable rooms. These rooms are kept as original as possible to preserve the authenticity of the farm’s history. This isn’t a fancy guest room but rather a weekend in rustic Karoo history.
The Stable Rooms will include the following:

2 x Single beds and mattresses
2 x Fitted sheets
1 x Lights
A charging point for phones

Here are a few things to keep in mind when selecting the self-camp option:
* This option is free. Your complimentary tent will then fall away.
*There is no dedicated ablution for self campers but you can use the communal ablution facilities.
* This area has no water or power supply points.
* Shaded areas are limited and at the furthest point of the self-camp area.
Group benefits include:
*All accommodation will be grouped next to or close to each other with a custom group camp name board.
*All group members will receive their group name on their mugs, as well as a custom number board with the name printed on it.
*Email us with your group name to have your group name printed on your number board as well as your mug. (If sent 45 days before the event.)
*Please note that your group must consist of 6 or more people to qualify for the above options.
Organising such an event has many challenges and can’t be left to the last minute. The refund policy schedule is based on certain suppliers that have been paid leading up to the preparation of the event.
Every aspect of the event is meticulously planned and synchronised with suppliers, partners, medical staff , entertainers, photographers, catering staff and assistants who need time to adapt to date not even taking in account the financial aspect, whereas most of these parties have been paid in advance to ensure their services. Without these key people and planning we cannot host a safe and enjoyable event.

Payment Plan
When clicking on the installment plan option, 30% of your total entry amount will be due immediately to secure your entry. The remainder of your outstanding amount will be debited over two installments.
Please make sure that your entry payments are up to date. You will have 7 days to make your payment after the due date. If you miss a payment you will forfeit your entry.
All payments must be completed at least 30 days before the event date.
Mountain bikes and e-bikes are welcome.
You are welcome to participate with an e-bike. Please select the e-bike batch option while you enter.
Yes! We will have a dedicated E-Bike charging station available near the main building. Remember to bring your charger and double-check whether the charger is securely fastened and charging. A backup generator will be on standby to supply power in case of load shedding. Don’t forget to select the E-Bike category during the entry process, as this helps us keep track of how many charging stations we need to set up during the event.

Yes, but only until 30 July 2025. Thereafter clothing orders are placed and no changes can be made. Shirt size changes can be emailed to info@urbangoat.co.za
Clothing sizes are selected during the online entry process before checking out and paying.
Please note that the new substituted participant will receive the clothing size of the initial outgoing participant, unless this is changed before 30 July 2025.
Unfortunately, we can only welcome guests on the day of the event. We encourage you to support the local guest houses in the area.

There is a signal, but there is unfortunately no Wi-Fi. Please keep in mind that with the capacity of people onsite, the signal tends to be weak over the weekend.
Yes, non riders are welcome to book a Supporter Tour Pass and upgraded accommodation for the weekend. We also have a Kiddies Zone for al the kiddies (three years and older)
The Supporter Tour Pass costs R1950 per adult which includes all meals for the weekend (Friday dinner to Sunday lunch), coffee, tea, and rusks at breakfast, live entertainment, use of ablution facilities, use of chill zones, use of charging station and access to spectator points like Day 3 providing complimentary cappuccinos to riders and supporters.

Our routes are very well marked but you’re welcome to ride with a GPS to record your ride.

• You will need to bring your bedding and pillow. It applies to the upgraded comfy canvas tents and horse-stable accommodation as well.

*We will provide self-help tech boxes at each water point in case of an emergency.
Unfortunately, it does not. With over 200+ tents, we won’t be able to provide power points to them all as the power supply on the farm is delicate and won’t be able to sustain the power load.

Theft is not really a problem in the Karoo, but if it makes you feel more relaxed, then you are welcome to do so.
